¡Desde hace mucho!

Hemos hablado de cómo utilizar ‘how long‘ para preguntar ‘desde hace cuánto‘.  ¿Cómo podemos contestar?

Puedes utilizar ‘For‘:

/fóo

Just for a few minutes

For 20 minutes

For a couple of weeks

For 6 weeks

For donkeys years

For ten years

For a long time

For as long as I can remember…

También puedes utilizar ‘Since‘.

Since last week

Since 2016

Since Wednesday

Since 2 o’clock

Since 20:15

Since this morning

Since January the 10th

Since Easter

Since she was a baby

Since we started / finished /moved / left …

I’ve been fine ever since…

I studied German two years ago

I started this company fifteen years ago

He left an hour ago

We finished the project about a month ago

They moved over a long time ago

¿Cómo decidir cuál utilizar? Let’s see.

I’ve worked in the same industry for ten years

I’ve worked in the same industry since 2007

I started working in this same industry ten years ago

ACTIVITY

Write in a comment sentences with ‘For‘, ‘Since‘ and ‘Ago‘ for all these contexts.

1- When you learned how to ride a bike

2- When you started learning a second language

3- You finished school

4- Your first job

5- The first time ever you sold something
