¿Cómo se construye el Presente Simple en su forma afirmativa?
¡Aquí mismo, ahora mismo!
La fórmula es:
Sujeto + verbo (sin terminación)
Ejemplo:
Como a las tres en punto
I eat at three o’clock
Solamente hay una excepción, cuando es tercera persona del singular:
Sujeto + verbo (terminando en –s)
Ejemplo:
(ella) come a las dos y media
She eats at half past two
En tercera persona del singular, si el verbo termina en consonante + vocal o en sonido silbante (ch, sh, ss, x, s, z) entonces:
Sujeto + verbo (terminado en –es)
Ejemplo:
Me voy a casa
I go home
(él) se va a casa
He goes home
¿Cuándo se utiliza el Presente Simple en inglés?
El Presente Simple se utiliza para describir (1) hechos y (2) rutinas o actividades habituales.
Ejemplos:
I live in a house. (hecho)
They have two cars. (hecho)
She wakes up at 7:00 am, has a shower, has breakfast and goes to work. (rutina)
He plays basketball every Thursday. (actividad habitual)
She usually goes to market on Saturday morning. (actividad habitual)
